For some time now a number of family and friends who have not had the opportunity to visit us since our move to AZ, have been asking us to post pictures of our house so that at the very least they can get a glimpse of where we hang our hat. So, without further ado...we present to you a slide show our home, and a bit of its story. We hope you enjoy our slideshow and are motivated to come visit sometime! "Come and knock on our door, we've been waiting for you..." kick off your shoes, leave your worries at the door, and make yourself at home. "Nuestra casa, es su casa!"
We can hardly believe it's been a little over a year since we moved into our home. Though it's growing on me, I've never been a huge fan of the color pink. So one of the first things that stuck out to me once we decided that this was the house for us, was the exterior color. When showing pictures of it to a friend, I said with some dismay "but A, it's pink!" She replied with a lot of enthusiasm, "No Z, it's the color of a desert sunset!" Ahh, much better...and that's how the house got it's name. : )
Though there is a lot that we miss about our house in NY, we LOVE our house here in AZ and continue working at making it our home. You probably noticed that the slide show of pics only included selected rooms, that's because those are the only rooms we've managed to paint in our year of living here! We are currently painting the room the boys share and after that hope to landscape the remaining 10% if the backyard (leftover after having the pool put in.) After landscaping there are a myriad of other projects on our "home improvement" list, but as we're not very handy nor quick to make changes it could be a while before we've completely transformed this house to our liking! We'll continue to post further changes as we make them...slow and steady. : )

Whoa! It's huge! I love everything about it...ESPECIALLY the exterior. How could you have a house that awesome in anything other than the shade of a desert sunset? Seriously.
