Has it really been...

...six months already??

Taken on Baby A's 6 month birthday

We all say we won't say it, then we do because it's true and we just can't help ourselves--it seems like it was just yesterday that this beautiful little angel came into the world and joined our family. In the last six months, Baby A has filled our hearts and our home with a sweet joy different than that which we have experienced with her brothers. She is always greets us with a happy smile, which brightens each day for us! M and Li'l J are very attentive and helpful big brothers to Baby A. They enjoy playing with her, making her laugh, hugging her, holding her--her brothers are her biggest and most adoring fans!

At her 6 month well-baby appointment, Baby A weighed in at 14 lbs 4 oz...so she hasn't quite doubled her birth weight yet but she is well on her way. The pediatrician said that just by looking at her, he would have guessed Baby A weighed closer to 16 lbs but that he would take 14 lbs. as she is healthy and happy! Baby A didn't disappoint in the height or head size categories either afterall, she is a member of the S family! She now measures 25.5 inches long with a head circumference measures 17 in.

Now that Baby A has reached the 6 month point, she has been cleared to start baby food! Yippee! Why the wait? With our family history of food allergies, this is the safe way to go. So far she loves cereal, carrots, and sweet potatoes.

The first taste

She LOVES it!

Along with enjoying baby food, Baby A has become a very busy little six month old who has mastered rolling from side to side, rolling over, sitting up all on her own, pulling and/or popping the binkie out of her mouth and then putting it back in again. She seems to enjoy the sound of her own voice as she babbles much of the day away. One of her favortie pasttimes appears to be reaching for, and chewing on her toes! Though she is a busy little one, she is a good napper during the day and a great sleeper at night!

Enjoying the grass at a neighborhood park.

Poppin' that binkie back in.

Baby A's favorite toys...her toes!
