Full-speed ahead!

As evidenced by the sparse posts recently, life for us the last couple of months has been moving along at quite a good clip. We've been quite busy, but quite happy. Since much has happened, here are a few highlights:

Spring Break

J-rod worked all week, so the kids and I filled our days by hanging out with good friends, having good fun, and all the while eating good food! Since it really warmed up by the end of that week, we had some of those good friends over for some fun in the pool.

7 months old

Baby A has just entered into one my favorite phases. She has become really expressive recently, babbling the day away. She is a happy and very busy little soul. Although she has been scooting along backwards...on her back...for quite some time now, it wasn't until the last couple of weeks that she began scooting along on her belly (still backwards however.)

Though the boys adore their little sister and constantly lavish her with attention, they really don't have to work too hard to get her attention in return. All they have to do is walk in the room or look her direction and Baby A will greet them with a great big smile and many times, a giggle as well.

While Baby A has several nicknames: Sister, Li'l Sis, C-sta (the name give to her by the boys when they made her a Mii on the Wii), Lee-sees, the one that cracks up M and Li'l J the most is when I call her "Grabby-McGrabberson". She considers anything within her reach fair game--lips, cheeks, eyes, ears, jewelry, food, toys, books, paper, etc.--so watch out! One afternoon during lunch the phone rang and as I turned to answer it, I left Baby A's bowl of food on the tray of her highchair...oops! Let's just say, I won't be doing that again!

"Arrgh Matey, that be my lunch you left unattended there!"

M gets baptized

Though M turned eight back in the middle of January, due to conflicting schedules of family members M really wanted present at his baptism, M wasn't baptized until the end of March...on his G'pa C's 77th birthday! When that special day finally arrived and M was surrounded by family and friends celebrating his decision, he couldn't have been happier! Both sets of grandparents, two aunts, a favorite uncle, and a set of great-grandparents were all able to travel from far and wide to share in M's special day. Thank you to all who came to M's baptism--you helped make it a very memorable day for him!

Congratulations M, we are so happy for you and the choice you've made! We LOVE you!!

A full house

Last week some dear friends of ours took a dream get-away vacation to NYC. Part of the time they were gone, we got to have their three super-sweet kiddos come stay with us. While they were here, all the kids had so-o much fun together is was tough for me to convince them that every night wasn't a sleepover where they could stay up late and play, that we still had to get up in the morning and yes, I was going to take them to school! Unfortunately for J-rod, he was still working nights (which means he was sleeping days) so he got to miss out on all our fun!

ah so i see we have the connection with the fabulous kari ann! love that woman and miss her a ton! she's actually one of the first women who told me i could do anything. she taught me how to stitch and that is how it all got started.

now as for the second connection...who could that be? and if she's speaking so highly of me we probably don't know eachother too well! ;)
from one bi-lingual 5'1" from los angeles to another "HELLO!" and thanks for making yourself known! i like making friends! -v
