Our Li'l Gardener

Early in March, Li'l J's preschool class had a week where they learned about plants and at the end of the end of the week each class member got to go home with some seeds to plant.  Li'l J came home with some corn and bean seeds.

While C-sta napped, Li'l J and I headed outside so he could try his hands at gardening.  As is evident in the pictures, though Li'l J was very excited to plant the seeds, he took his job very seriously.  Sadly, the little plants that came up didn't survive to be planted in the garden.  Oh well, come fall we'll try again.

Funny you should mention cactus Mom, because in April they sent him home with a cactus starter after they planted a tree in the park for Arbor Day and apparently we didn't get that in the ground soon enough because that one didn't last long either!! We just haven't gotten the hang of gardening yet I guess.
