Fridays Off

Since the boys have Fridays off from school, aside from piano lessons in the morning for M, we try to fill our Fridays by playing with friends.  Some of Li'l J's favorite friends are sisters O and A.  Their family recently moved from one house to another so one Friday O, A, and baby brother O, came to play while their mom got some painting done at the new house.  M also had a friend over that day--another M--but somehow both M's escaped being in any of the pictures while playing outside.

When O and A come over, Li'l J and the girls will often play up in the loft with the toys, games, or even the costumes in the dress up box.  This day after doing all that, since it wasn't yet too hot to play outside, out we went to get some fresh air.

While the boys put together and flew some fun planes (I LOVE the intense look on Li'l J's face!), the girls, including our C-sta were happy to entertain themselves by digging in the rocks alongside the driveway and by driving around in our little Cozy Coupe, trikes, and scooters.  We don't have a sandbox but we have sand toys so they had fun improvising.

A side note on C-sta, I do make a daily effort to fix her hair.  However, as you'll notice in the pictures above, she currently has NO interest in keeping any ponytail, braid, or hair clip in her hair!!  She would much rather spend the day looking like Cousin It, constantly pushing away the hair out of her face so she can see.  Some days I keep after her and make sure she doesn't look like a ragamuffin, but some days like the one above I just let it go.  Silly girl!!
