Easter 2010

Easter weekend the kids and I enjoyed watching General Conference both Saturday and Sunday on our own as unfortunately...J-rod was scheduled to work both days, bummer!  We downloaded the wonderful packets a dear friend puts together for each General Conference, and enjoyed a low-key weekend together listening to the wonderful messages from our Church leaders. Thanks to G'ma & G'pa S, we also enjoyed the traditional Conference gifts we each look so forward to each time!!

When J-rod came home Saturday evening, he promptly brought to our attention that the Easter Bunny had made an early delivery of the kids baskets--they were on our front porch filled with lots of GOODIES!!  It was SO fun to watch their reactions as we all ran out to find what had been left for them.  This year the Easter Bunny surprised the kids with very little candy and included instead some fun movies, books, toys, and even beach towels with their favorite characters (to help get ready for the upcoming swim season) and fortunately, there were no complaints from the recipients (nor from J-rod or Zippy...the less candy the better!). : )

Sunday between sessions of General Conference (and while C-sta took a nap), M, Li'l J and I had fun dying eggs. Once J-rod had made it home from work, he took part in a little fun by hiding the eggs around the house for the kids to find before we sat down to a yummy Easter dinner.  All around, we had a great Easter weekend!
