Alrighty folks, here's the deal. Since Spring Break 2011 is LOOMING my goal is to at the very least, finish up our Spring Break 2010 report in the next two weeks...ha, ha! Wish me luck! : )
So without further ado, here we go with Day 4 of SB 2010--
Thursday we said our goodbyes to Oceanside. Before checking out and heading north we spent some time on the pool deck of the condo. It was WAY too cold and windy to swim, but Li'l J did stick his li'l tootsies in the 'not-so-hot tub' for a bit. While we were out there we all enjoyed the beautiful view one last time. Here is what the the coastline looked like our first day at the beach, compared to our last day in Oceanside--
Although Day 1 didn't have ideal and beautiful beach weather one comes to expect in Southern Cal because it was overcast, it wasn't as windy as Day 4 was and as a result was much warmer making it the better day for playing on the beach. Plus, Day 4 the tide was up way far on the beach leaving very little sand in the area where we had been on Monday. Looks like in the end we chose well when we decided to make our first day our "beach day." : )
Once we checked out of the condo we took a nice drive up along the coastline before stopping to grab a bit to eat at a local restaurant, Johnny Manana's--so yummy!
After lunch we took the kids to see a movie that quickly became a family favorite:
That evening we went to visit my mom and sister for a bit before calling it a day. We surely enjoyed our time in Oceanside, CA!
