Having stayed both nights in NJ, we drove into the city the two mornings we were there via the Lincoln Tunnel. Yes, despite having five backseat drivers, our dear S was brave enough to actually take her van into the city! Of our many trips to NYC while living in NY, I can only recall two times that J-rod actually drove in...the rest of our trips we opted to leave our car at the hotel in NJ and take the NJ Transit Authority commuter buses into the city. Go S--you rock!

While we were in NYC, we relied heavily on our friend C's knowledge of the "ins and outs" of the city. That woman is a wealth of knowledge!! For your next trip to NYC, if don't already know...want to know where find to great deals? A place to park your car for a mere $20.00 a day? Where to find a clean NYC restroom with a trustworthy water fountain? I highly recommend that you invite C to come along with you as she knows the answers to these questions and can find her way around without even looking at a map! Thanks C for being our guide!!
