We spent New Year's Eve having fun with some great friends. The older kids started the night out by syncing up and playing with their DS's while the adults enjoyed some yummy appetizers. After a delicious dinner prepared by the Master of the Grill and his lovely wife, we all headed out to their backyard for some fun! First we roasted marshmallows in their awesome fire pit (we now want one too!), then we made and ate yummy s'mores. While eating our s'mores we made some noise with poppers (a first time for some of us) and watched some colorful (but most likely illegal) fireworks that caught us off guard as they were sent up into the night sky by someone in the neighborhood.After the outdoor fun, back we went inside for more fun on their Wii. This was J-rod and Zippy's first time playing the Wii and though M and Li'l J have known for a while that they've wanted one, it took playing it to sell Zippy on the idea of getting one. Yes, you read that correctly...I am SOLD on the Wii!!! Now I just have to come up with the extra wiggle room in the old budget so I can go get one (and all the nifty accessories and games)...maybe I'll have to wait for Santa to bring us one for Christmas of '09?
