Before the torture beganRemember our "The Sickies" post from about a month ago? Well here's the update. Last week J-rod took Li'l J to the hospital early in the morning to check him in for his colonoscopy. Upon check-in what we suspected was confirmed, the two days of prep beforehand weren't completely successful--ugh! Poor Li'l J was given an enema to help finish the clear-out process. Once the doctor felt Li'l J was sufficiently prepped, they wheeled him to the O.R. for his procedure.
Playing with bubbles while waitingFortunately, the doctor had a clear view throughout the procedure and could tell that Li'l J is free of any polyps. The culprit of Li'l J's bloody stools? A somewhat irrigated colon from some constipation! The answer, he is now taking a daily supplement to help soften his stools. We are glad this didn't turn out to be something more serious!
As usual, Li'l J was a trooper through it all. He came home happy to be done with the entire process, ready for a long nap! Li'l J is pictured above sleeping with a new stuffed animal he was given by the hospital staff and a new "quillow" he had asked Zippy to make for him to take to the hospital.

It's so good that Li'l J's okay! We love him!
Anyway, I was wondering: how do you make those links that go to your different posts???
Love ya!
I hadn't read about this before...
I hope everything worked out.
Glad to know that Drew isn't the only one with super-duper constipation problems.
We give him 2-3 glasses of apple juice a day now. That and Miralax have helped. Good luck!
Oh i'm so glad that all turned out well. :)
