A few short days after our Ward Christmas Party, we packed up suitcases with enough to get two adults and three kids through two weeks in two very different climate zones, loaded up the car, and drove through the night heading north. Destination? G'ma and G'pa S's house where we dropped off our kiddos before heading to the airport to catch a few flights Guatemala-bound, for ten days.
G'ma, G'pa, Aunt C, and Uncle N were very generous in their willingness to help us out by taking care of M, Li'l J, and C-sta while we were gone. We will ever be grateful for the good care that they took of our kiddos while we were off adventuring abroad!
While we were gone, here is how everyone kept busy--
G'pa S had a birthday party:
~G'pa S, Uncle D, and Great Uncle E.~
G'pa S's Vet Clinic had a Christmas Party:
~N and M with...?; G'pa S, Dr. F, and Dr. C.~
C-sta had lots of fun modeling for G'ma's camera and even let G'ma fix her hair all fancy on occasion:

All three kids had a great time playing with all the cool toys at G'ma and G'pa's house! It had been three years since the last time M and Li'l J visited G'ma and G'pa's house and C-sta's very first visit...ever!:

Now lest you think it was ALL fun and games, there was lots of piano practicing to be done:
~Practicing on G'ma & G'pa's baby grand is FUN!~
There was laundry to help with (G'ma's dryer died the second day our kids were there--boo!) and homework to keep up on:
~Somethings just can't be avoided, even at G'ma & G'pa's!~
After all was said and done, I'm glad they slept at night for G'ma and G'pa!:
