Top of the Rock

Once we’d had our fill of ribbon, buttons, and beads, off we went to the Top of the Rock. After paying full price for our tickets, we discovered that we could have gotten 50% of the price with S’s military discount..hmm what to do, what to do? Fortunately, after some discussion with four in our group, the cashier decided she’d give us the discount after all! Thank you! Message to the wise: if you’re at a NYC attraction hoping to use any sort of discount: AAA, military, senior, etc. make sure to ask before you pay your bill as they 1. Don’t have signs advertising the discounts they honor, and 2. Won’t tell you upfront which discounts they’ll accept. With our reduced bill paid up we went; way up, on an express elevator to the Top of the Rock for some fantastic, though wind blown, views of Manhattan
