At the beginning of the year we joined a Babysitting Group with four other couples in our area. Each Friday night one of the five couples hosts the group at their house for four hours--this means that once a month each couple gets to babysit all the kids in the group while the other four couples go on a date night (not necessarily as a group.) Not only do all ten kids in the group get along well, but so do all five couples--it's been a great success!
J-rod and I usually go out to dinner, but sometimes we use our nights off from babysitting to run errands or work on projects around the house like painting the boys room, cleaning out the garage, etc. One of these weeks, we might try to catch a movie or maybe have a game night with some of the other couples.

A couple weeks ago was our turn in the rotation to host, and for the first time, we had a full-house! All ten kids came, played, ate, played some more, and watched movies. Thanks A for being so helpful with the little ones-they loved all the games you coordinated for them!!

During snack time, one sweet little gal slipped off of one of our chairs, hit her head on the tile floor pretty hard, and ultimately ended up going to urgent care later that night for stitches--ouch!! So sorry little L! We're glad you're all better now! Aside from the spill at the kitchen table, everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves!

Li'l J had a great time pal-ing around with all the younger kids and M especially liked hanging with his friend C. M and C played Battleship for a bit and then set out to build and create for a good long time.

The parachute idea is cool! Why didn't I think of that when I babysat? Urgent care sounds like par for the course!
