LOVE my boys!
Eagerly waiting in line
After a short night of rest, up we got bright and early Saturday morning, got ready, drove over to our good friends the E's house, dropped off Li'l J and C-sta to play with their 5 beautiful boys, and then the rest of us made our way to the Conference Center to wait in line for the first session of Conference. Since M is now 8, he was old enough to go with me and J-rod to the two sessions of Conference we had tickets for--woo-hoo!! He did so well at both sessions, listened well, took good notes, even took on the role of "the napping police"...he would poke either J-rod or I any time we nodded off. : )
Getting ready for the session to start
Since our tickets clearly stated NO CAMERAS were allowed in the Conference Center we didn't bring ours in, but opted to use my cell phone instead before going into the building. However once inside the center, as we were taking our seats we noticed people throughout the center were snapping away! What? I decided that since no ushers were stopping them, it must be okay, so I took out my cell phone and took a few too!
The view from our seats
After enjoying a wonderfully uplifting session Saturday morning, we headed back to our car where we took out our camera and took a few more pictures to capture the spirit of the day.
As we walked around taking pictures, we gave M an abbreviated tour of Temple Square and promised to bring him and the other kids back in the coming days bit longer stay. While we made our way around the Temple Square portion of downtown, J-rod and I noticed just how much things have changed since we were last there! Next we made our way over to nearby Deseret Book where we picked up a few things before scouting out some lunch at Cafe Rio--yum!
Once our bellies were as full as our spirits, we made our way back to the E's house to pick up our Li'l J and C-sta and visit for a bit before continuning on. Thank you E family VERY much for being willing to watch Li'l J and C-sta so we could go to General Conference. Li'l J and C-sta throughoughly enjoyed themselves and Li'l J still talks about what fun he had playing with "my very new friends!" We are glad we got to visit with you if only for a short while! Hope not as many years go by between now and when we see you again as did from the last time we saw you!
Here's the best shot we got on our camera with most everyone looking in the same general direction. : ) A, let me know if yours turned out any better!

Our next stop was at Uncle D and Aunt K's where J-rod went to Priesthood session with the guys while the kids and I hung out with Aunt K, Cousins J and K, and Cousin J's sweet kids. I was having so much fun just visiting and watching how much fun all of our kids were having together, that I never did pull out the camera, oh well! After Priesthood session, most of the guys came back--we missed seeing you D and T! (they had hot dates waiting!)--and we all enjoyed a very yummy dinner courtesy of Aunt K. Thank you T and H families for a FUN evening, we're glad we got to visit with all of you too for a little bit! Hope to see you all again soon!
At the end of another good day filled with wonderful memories of our adventures, we headed back up the mountain to get some shut-eye. On our way back we were very careful of the deer that were hanging out alongside the road, and especially of those that had wandered into the road. The kids were alseep before we got to the hotel which made getting then to bed at such a late hour a bit easier. The next morning would come too quickly and our adventures would start all over again. Stay tuned for the next installment!

We so loved having Lil-J and C-sta visit with us. Aidan talked and talked about his new friend. And, it was soooo fun to see you again! Definitely needs to be sooner rather than later next time.
Oh, and none of our pics turned out better. At least you can see Andrew's face in yours!
Awesome summary!!! Can I use your pic of the Conference Center for my next packet??? I will be up there in November, hopefully getting my own pix, but I really like yours. Would that be O.K.?
